The Lion King Walt Disney Art Classics Simba and Mufasa "Pouncing Lesson" Color Model Cel (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). "Stay low to the ground..." Mufasa teaches Simba the fundamentals of pouncing in this one-of-a-kind hand-inked and hand-painted color model cel created for a Walt Disney Art Classics limited edition "Pouncing Lesson" sericel. Created from the moments seen at the 11:03 mark of the Disney Renaissance classic The Lion King, this piece was produced at the Disney Ink & Paint department, used as a prototype during the development of the edition. This cel measures a large 15.5" x 11.5", displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. It bears the hand-written notation "Pouncing Lesson Sericel, Prod. Color Model." The film was digitally produced, making original hand-painted cels from the Walt Disney studio exceptionally rare treasures. Overall minor handling and edge wear, and the condition of this rare original Lion King artwork is Very Good.Auction Info
