Description
Mother Goose Proposed Storybook Original Art Group of 11 (Samuel Lowe, c. 1950s-60s). Very colorful artwork designed by the artist known as Klara, for a proposed Samuel Lowe "tall format" children's book. The art includes the cover on a thick piece of illustration board (with top extension, for book title type) measuring 5.75" x 14.5", with a second preliminary illustration on back; six boards measuring 6" x 12.25", with a pair of two-page spreads; an illustration on thin board measuring 5" x 11.5"; a "hot crossed buns" painting on paper measuring 7" x 12"; and a pair of Jack and Jill illustrations on paper measuring 9.75" x 12.75". A mock-up contents 2-page spread is also included. Art is in gouache. Good to Very Good condition, with handling/edge wear.Auction Info
