Casey Bats Again Living Room Preliminary Production Background (Walt Disney, 1954). A colorful painting of flat shapes and beautiful design details, this lovely original preliminary production background was created during the development of the 1954 theatrical short Casey Bats Again, the hilarious sequel to the Make Mine Music segment "Casey at the Bat." Rich in pattern, color, and atmospheric detail, this piece is hand-painted in gouache by the great background artist Al Dempster, whose distinct style can be seen in more than a dozen Disney Golden Books. The gorgeous painting is trimmed to a size of 15.5" x 11.75", perfect for creating a charming cel setup. Minor handling and edge wear, and the piece is protected by an acetate overlay.
