Description

Alice in Wonderland "Smoke the Blighter Out" White Rabbit Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1951). Now it's our chance to catch the evasive White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland with this terrific hand-painted and hand-inked color model cel used in the film's production. Lewis Carroll's stories about Alice have been part of Disney since the early days, with the studio's first theatrical short series, Alice Comedies, running from 1924 to 1927. This remarkably rare full-figure image of the always hurried White Rabbit in his red heart outfit can be spotted at the 36:13 mark of the film, during the song "Smoke the Blighter Out." This exceptional 12-field cel has the iconic character measuring a terrific figure size of 4" x 4.5", numbered 129 in the bottom right corner, and is offered on a printed background for presentation purposes. The cel has a clear cels layer on top and bottom, stapled by the top corners. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
