Prince Phillip and his trusty steed Samson hack their way through the twisted vines of Maleficent's forest of thorns in this remarkable pair of original storyboard/concept drawings created for Walt Disney's 1959 animated feature film Sleeping Beauty. Gestural and atmospheric, these beautiful drawings masterfully cast light on the heroes, contrasting them with their dark, evil surroundings. Rendered in graphite, color pencil and Conte, these incredible pieces are framed under Plexiglas with mat window sizes of 2.25" x 3.75" and 8.5" x 3" with overall frame sizes of 7" x 8.5" and 14" x 8.5" respectively. The frames are sold as is. The drawings are well preserved in the frames, and the condition overall is Very Good.
