This rare production cel features Red Hot Riding Hood, a modern twist on the classic Little Red Riding Hood tale set in a contemporary big city nightclub. Red, possibly inspired by the top pin-up model of the time, Lana Turner, is captured in this animated cartoon that was voted #7 in the 1994 book "Fifty Greatest Cartoons of All Time" by Jerry Beck. Animated by Preston Blair, this particular sequence shows Red performing the song "Daddy", eliciting the Wolf's memorable reaction that has become a part of cartoon history. The cel showcases a full-figured Red, hand-painted on 12 field-size acetate, measuring 7.5" in size. Marked with #20 in the bottom right corner, this piece is a vibrant representation of a beloved animation character and a notable moment in cartoon storytelling, making it a prized collectible for enthusiasts of animation art and history.
