Description

Rudolph Dirks The Captain and the Kids Sunday and Hackshaw the Detective Companion Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-24 (United Feature Syndicate, c. 1943). Rudolph Dirks certainly had a way with "voids" and "void balloons" as this busy Sunday can attest. Also included is the Hackshaw the Detective companion strip, on a separate piece of Bristol, attached to the main strip with tape, on the back. Great stuff by a pivotal figure in the development of the American comic strip. This ink over graphite on Bristol board piece has an image size of 22.5" x 29.25", and it is in Very Good condition.
