Sailor Moon Sailor Moon Production Cel with Master Background (Toei Animation, c. 1992-97). Though commonly seen as a light-hearted and clumsy schoolgirl, Usagi Tsukino is the reincarnation of the Princess of the Moon Kingdom, Princess Serenity, with the ability to transform into the powerful Sailor Moon. Created by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon is a flagship series of shojo anime. It is known in many countries across the globe as a prime example of what makes anime attractive, presenting engaging characters, thrilling plots, and extraordinary action, paired with with marvelous art direction and great animation. Presented in this lot we have a great profile image of Sailor Moon. Hand-painted on a 12" x 11.5" production cel which is numbered A2 in the bottom right corner, the lovely heroine measures an outstanding figure size of 10.25" x 9.25". The production cel is presented on a dramatic Master background rendered in gouache on background board. The cel shows faint surface scratches from production use, and the background has some staining. The overall condition of the lot is Very Good.More information about Toei.
