Description

The Sword in the Stone Original Madam Mim and Merlin Art Corner Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1963). "Did I say no purple Dragons?" This outstanding hand-painted 12 field production cel features the unforgettable Madam Mim as the purple dragon and Merlin from Disney's The Sword in the Stone. This cel captures the thrilling highlight of the film-the shapeshifting duel between Merlin and Mim, in which Mim transforms into various animals, culminating in her iconic purple dragon form. Mim stands an imposing 10" x 6", perfectly showcasing her frightful and mischievous nature as a classic Disney villain. Originally sold at Disneyland's Art Corner Store, this cel retains its original gold Art Corner sticker on the reverse, affirming its provenance. The artwork is presented on a color card/print background, matted to 14" x 11", and ready to display. The piece is in vintage Good condition, with some edge wear and toning on the matboard, consistent with its age. This is a rare and delightful collectible for fans of Disney animation and The Sword in the Stone, celebrating one of Disney's most memorable animated battles.
