Murphy Anderson Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #8 "Firebrand" Pin-Up Illustration Original Art (DC, 1985). Rod Reilly was the Golden Age hero known as Firebrand. Created by Reed Crandall for Quality Comics in 1941, the character was acquired by DC Comics in 1957 when DC purchased the entire Quality stable. This fun and lively piece was created in ink on two sheets of vellum with a combined image area of 10" x 15". The bottom layer was used in a green color-hold effect to compliment the mainly red full-color top layer. In Excellent condition. From the Murphy Anderson Collection.
