Description
EPCOT - Trash Can Prop (Walt Disney, c. 2019). This is an original trash can prop from Epcot. The history of the themed trash cans of the Disney Parks originates back with Walt Disney himself. Not wanting guests to see or smell trash as they enjoyed his Park, Walt had his team develop hinged flaps that would hide the trash from view. The now widely-used style of trash can was first utilized at Disneyland during the Park's first years. This specific blue trash can was introduced in 2019 and is composed of painted metal, with two hinged flaps for depositing trash, and a hinged door panel for inserting and removing a garbage bag. It proudly features EPCOT Center's 5-ring logo, designed by Norm Inouye, on the front, representing Information, Technology, Environment, Education, and Entertainment. The trash can measures 20.25" x 42.5" and 21.25" deep. It is in Good condition with minor surface wear from use.Auction Info
