Walt Disney World - RARE EPCOT Center World Showcase Prospectus Presentation Binder (Walt Disney, c. 1975). Visions of an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow are the subject of this rare, oversized binder that presents the earliest depictions of Walt Disney World Showcase for EPCOT Center! Walt Disney's EPCOT Center was the most ambitious project of the master showman's career. Even after Walt, development continued, resulting in EPCOT Center World Showcase opening with nine pavilions celebrating the cultures, cuisines, architecture, and traditions of countries around the world. In the mid-1970s (and approximately seven years before it opened), these oversized brochure binders were created to help convince representatives of countries and prepare corporate sponsors to partner with Walt Disney Productions for Walt Disney World Showcase. Included are 11 beautiful silkscreened pages and colorful layers of materials, featuring maps, diagrams, and other information related to the layout of the historic World Showcase. The cover of the binder is composed of durable, heavy-weight art paper and a sturdy art board back cover. Measuring 24" x 18", the binder is in Very Good condition, exhibiting minimal scuffs and wear to the surface and throughout from handling. Historians and aficionados of EPCOT Center are sure to delight over this rare prospectus is among the earliest artifacts that depict the developmental master planning of international area that is, EPCOT Center World Showcase at Walt Disney World!Auction Info
