Description

Disneyland - "Snow White and Her Adventures" Exterior Concept Brownline Print by Disney Legend Marvin Davis (Walt Disney, 1953). Snow White and Her Adventures has gone through many changes over the decades, but you can take a peek at the making of the attraction's exterior with this lot! The 32.5'' x 11'' brownline print (with a handful of hand-colored embellishments) details the castle-like exterior for the original 1955 attraction Snow White and Her Adventures and was created from an original design by Disney Legend Marvin Davis (1910 - 1998), who worked as an art director for 20th Century Fox before joining WED briefly from 1953 to 1955. After the park successfully opened, he returned to directing both film and television, including series like the Mickey Mouse Club and Zorro. Snow White and Her Adventures was intended to be from Snow White's perspective and sent guests on her harrowing adventure while fleeing the Evil Queen. This was a bit confusing and frightening for younger guests, but the attraction endured until 1983 when it was rebuilt with a similar story and called Snow White's Scary Adventures. It was recently rebuilt once again in 2020, now with less frightening scenes, and called Snow White's Enchanted Wish. The incredible brownline print is dated 8-4-53 in the lower right and is in Fair condition overall with folds from storage, light toning, pinholes, three taped tears, and some handling wear.
