Description

Ghost in the Shell Puppet Master Production Cel with Production Background (Production I.G, 1995). "Good thing it was a sturdy car. No scratches. As pretty as can be," says Batou, after examining the body of the Puppet Master in the getaway car where it was stolen, relieved to know that the bullets exchanged between Motoko and the tank didn't damage the mechanical body. Seen at the 1:06:15 mark of the fascinating anime film Ghost in the Shell, by director Mamoru Oshi, this chilling image of the Puppet Master shows up as Batou opens the bag where it was stored, just before Motoko reveals that she intends to "dive-in" to contact the Puppet Master's ghost. The Puppet Master measures 11.5" x 7.25" on the 14.25" x 9" production cel, numbered B20 in the top right corner. The cel is presented on a production background of a tile floor, done in gouache on background board, numbered 430 in the top right corner. The production cel shows fading on the linework, and the production background has some faint surface scuffing. With very light handling wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.
