Description

Rurouni Kenshin "Run, Yahiko! Run, Yahiko! Get the Reverse-Edged Sword Back" Pan Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background and Animation Drawing Group of 5 (Studio Gallop/Studio Deen, c. 1996-98). "It sure is busy around here, that it is..." The titular Samurai X, Kenshin, laments his long list of chores in this gorgeous hand-painted original pan production cel setup from the acclaimed shonen action series Rurouni Kenshin. Seen at the 10:27 mark of the 18th episode, this stunning piece is displayed on its original Key Master background rendered in gouache on board. An extremely rare find, the setup measures a substantial 11.25" x 18". In addition, this magnificent piece is accompanied by four matching original animation drawings, one of which is a rare layout drawing for the scene. The drawings are rendered in graphite and color pencil on animation paper measuring 10.5" x 17.5" (one piece is on standard 12 field animation paper). Two drawings are extended with tape, and the set overall shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use. The condition is Very Good.
