Description

Cars Concept Drawings by Buck Lewis Original Art Group of 15 (Walt Disney/Pixar, 2006). After wrapping up A Bug's Life in 1998, development for this computer-animated feature began at the Pixar Studios. Here's a fascinating collection of original 2001 concept sketches by H. B. "Buck" Lewis, who had previously worked on The Secret of NIMH, Antz, and Tarzan. These are mostly sketchbook drawings done in ink, ballpoint pen, and blue crayon, with the pages cut and taped to sheets of 9" x 12" paper, and offer an excellent view of the creative process involved in character design. Doc Hudson, Sarge, Luigi, and many others are pictures here in early versions. Each sketchbook page or drawing fragment has been signed by the artist (as H. B. Lewis). VERY cool! Art condition is Very Good with minor handling wear.
