Description

Fantasia "Pastoral Symphony" Bacchus and Jacchus Pastel Concept Art by James Bodrero (Walt Disney, 1940). The festive Bacchus is joined by his donkey Jacchus in this fantastic pastel concept art piece for the unforgettable Fantasia segment "Pastoral Symphony," crafted by the great James Bodrero (1900 - 1980). Famous for being one of the sixteen artists invited by Walt Disney to join the Goodwill Trip to Latin and South America after the production of this film, Bodrero showcases in this image his great proficiency with pastel color, creating a hilarious picture of the tipsy Bacchus about to be poked by Jacchus' horn, measuring together an image size of 9.25" x 8.5". The lot is displayed on a 17.25" x 15.5" glass-fronted frame with a 10.25" x 8.5" mat opening. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
