Toy Story 2 Rare Buzz Lightyear Original Beat Board Art by Jorgen Klubien (Walt Disney/Pixar, 1999). Presented in this delightful lot is a rare early 12 field beat board of Buzz Lightyear for Toy Story 2. Beat boards are similar to storyboards in the early stages in that they both establish design, color, and lighting. The two differ though, as beat boards are primarily used for pitches and only capture the bare bones of the story. This board was rendered with color pencil and features everyone's space ranger Buzz Lightyear in what looks to be the airport conveyor belts. He has a tag near him similar to the scenes starting at 1:15:25 where Buzz is running with a tag stuck to him. The drawing was created by renowned Disney storyboard artist Jorgen Klubien, best known for his work on The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lion King, A Bug's Life, and the cult-classic Frankenweenie. The drawing has an image size of 12'' x 8.75'' and is noted as "from Toy Story 2" with a Jorgen stamp along the bottom border. This wonderful lot is in Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear with pinholes from studio use.More information about Disney/Pixar Artist.
