Description

Beauty and the Beast West Wing Scene Pair of Belle and Beast Presentation Cels (Walt Disney, 1991). "Why did you come here? ... I warned you never to come here!" This is a fantastic pair of presentation cels from the scene in the film when Belle goes against the Beast's command to never go into the West Wing and is caught looking at the enchanted rose. It's a key scene and a turning point in the story seen near the 46:35 time stamp. These amazing 16 field setups were hand-painted at the Disney Studio's Ink and Paint Department in Burbank for a Disney VIP exhibition. Both cels are presented over a copy of the matching layout drawings. Because Beauty and the Beast was nearly completely hand-drawn on paper that was then scanned, painted and composited via computer, there are no production cels, making presentation cels like these so valued and prized by collectors. The cels come to auction from the private collection of Peter Schneider. Schneider was the first president of Walt Disney Feature Animation from 1985 to 1999. The setups contain Disney seals in the lower right of each. In Very Good condition.
From the President of Disney Feature Animation (1986 - 1999) Peter Schneider Collection.
