Description
Angel's Egg Girl Production Cel (Sutdio Deen, 1985). From the mysterious anime film Angel's Egg, we offer in this lot a rare hand-painted production cel displaying a wonderous image of the nameless Girl. Widely regarded as a cult classic, this dream-like film saw the collaboration between the renowned Mamoru Oshii, director of Ghost in the Shell, and Pat Labor: The Movie, among others, and the legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano, known for his involvement in the Final Fantasy video game series. Featuring a beautiful profile image of the pale character as seen at the 45:12 mark of the movie, this two-layer production cel shows a figure size of 12.75" x 7.5". The bottom layer shows rippling water, possibly from a different anime production, and the cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, taped with artist archival tape. The cel layers have adhered together, and the linework shows fading ink. With minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
