Description

Hercules "One Last Hope" Pegasus, Phil, and Hercules Presentation Cel on Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1997). "I'm down to one last shot / And my last high note / Before that blasted underworld gets my goat / My dreams are on you, kid / Go make 'em come true!" Voiced by Danny DeVito, the satyr Philoctetes (better known as Phil) preforms his only song of the film, "One Last Hope" through an iconic training montage that sees Hercules grow from a scrawny teen to the Hero we know and love as featured in this one-of-a-kind hand-painted presentation cel on Key Master background. A now-grown Hercules can be spotted near the 30:59 mark as he prepares to run Phil's ultimate training course where he's finally able to successfully rescues the damsel doll in distress. Created without using any production cels, this film's animation was done digitally with hand-painted backgrounds. One-of-one presentation cels like this were made by the Disney Ink and Paint Department to be paired with the astonishing backgrounds of the movie. Hercules' original backgrounds were hand-painted in gouache by: Sunny Apinchapong, Olivier Besson, Justin Brandstater, Thomas Cardone, Greg Drolette, Scott Fassett, Jean-Paul Fernandez, Thierry Fournier, Natalie Franscioni-Karp, Ian Gooding, Susan Hackett, Brad Hicks, Jason Horley, Mikyung Joung-Raynis, John Lee, William Lorencz, Jerry Loveland, James J. Martin, David McCamley, Kelly McGraw, Serge Michaels, Greg Miller, Don Moore, Philip Phillipson, Daniel Read, Leonard Robledo, Colin Stimpson, George Taylor, and Christophe Vacher.
