Description

Disneyland Park - 1967 Souvenir Fun Map (Walt Disney Productions, 1967). "Here, age relives fond memories of the past and... may savor the challenge and promise of the future" with this rare 1967 edition of "Walt Disney's Guide to Disneyland - The Magic Kingdom" Fun Map of Disneyland Park! The Disneyland Souvenir Fun Map has been a tradition from 1957 to the present, rendered by Disneyland Cartographers, including Walt Disney Imagineers Sam McKim, Collin Campbell and Nina Rae Vaughn. On this unique 1967 edition of the Disneyland Fun Map by Collin Campbell are fabulous, new adventures which spanned six realms of Disneyland, including the newest "land" - New Orleans Square. See the additions of the Carrousel of Progress, America the Beautiful, Pirates of the Caribbean, and one of the final appearances of the Disneyland Heliport, which offered air service aboard Sikorsky helicopters, straight to Los Angeles International Airport. The periphery of Disneyland and the Disneyland Hotel are presented within a star-studded border featuring classic cartoon stars of animated Walt Disney Productions. Of course, the most outstanding element of this edition is a "future attraction", one that would not debut for several years - a "spaceport & rocket flight" adventure that would be known as Space Mountain. The Disneyland Fun Map measures 45" x 30" and is among the most memorable and collectible souvenirs to ever be sold at Disneyland Park. This edition was stored folded, exhibits signs of toning, small tears, and wear along its edges, but displays a Very Good condition, and is a wonderful example of the vintage souvenir of Disneyland!
