Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton 32'' x 16'' Original Concept/Pitch Art By Dan Goozee for Landmark Entertainment (LEG, c. 1990s) This original piece of concept/pitch art was created by Landmark Entertainment Group for Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, the ambitious themed attraction that opened in January 1998. Rendered in gouache on a 32" x 16" - board by celebrated artist Dan Goozee, the dramatic artwork depicts the Starship Enterprise parked in Las Vegas at night, with fireworks bursting in the distance. Signed by Goozee, the piece captures both the cinematic spectacle and the sense of awe Landmark sought to convey in its presentation materials. Star Trek: The Experience was a groundbreaking attraction, featuring immersive environments, interactive exhibits, a simulator ride, themed dining at "Quark's," and retail components. Designed by Landmark, the project won the Themed Entertainment Association's Award for Outstanding Achievement in 1998 and set new standards for IP-based themed attractions. Dan Goozee (1943-2024) was renowned for his Hollywood poster campaigns, including Superman: The Movie and multiple James Bond films, as well as his concept work for Disney Imagineering and themed projects worldwide.
