He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Prince Adam Laughing Production Cel (Filmation, c. 1983-85). "And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on?" Many would look at this lot and think of the stock footage seen in many episodes of Prince Adam cheerfully laughing, but many more will look at this image and instantly hear the lyrics to the song "What's Up" by the band 4 Non-Blondes. Originally from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the image in the production cel of Prince Adam presented in this lot was popularized by the famous viral internet video titled "Fabulous Secret Powers," created by Ryan Haines & Jay Allen under the name Slackcircus Studios. The original video was posted on the Something Awful forums in 2005 and then uploaded to YouTube, where it's been viewed the most, in 2006. Ever since, the hilarious animated music video has gained immense popularity with millions of views, originating many tributes and remixes, establishing itself as one of the most famous pieces of internet culture. The hand-painted production cel has Prince Adam measuring a figure size of 10" x 7.75" on the 12-field production cel, numbered 12 in the bottom right corner and featured on a printed background for presentation purposes.
