Description

Osgood Perkins The New Yorker Faux-Cover Rorschach of Watchmen Illustration Original Art and Print (2009). A print of this original work was hung and featured at the "Physical Nostalgia" exhibit at Meltdown Comics in LA. The entire exhibit was inspired by the Zack Snyder film version of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' seminal Watchmen comic book. Here, Rorschach, the infamous bloody button, and even Nite Owl's Owl Ship are used in a wonderful tribute to a classic The New Yorker cover. The original art was created in ink and gouache on 11" x 15.5" Bristol board. Signed with an "OP" in the lower left margin, where it is dated 2-09. Comes with a matted print that includes the logo and an issue date relevant to the Watchmen story. In Excellent condition.
