Description

Jerry Grandenetti Men of War #17 "Rosa, Master-Spy" Story Page 2 Original Art (DC Comics, 1979). A period of renewed vigor for DC's war-comics line. Editor Joe Orlando (veteran of pre-Code EC Comics) wanted to jazz up the genre, and so he introduced Rosa, the "ebon garbed Man of Shadows," as a Batman-like espionage agent. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Grandenetti is precisely the right artist for such a concept. Image area, 10" x 15". Excellent condition, barring marginal adhesive stains.
