Description
Woody Woodpecker Production Cel (Walter Lantz, c.1950-60s). An outstanding Woody Woodpecker production cel is offered in this lot. Created in 1940 by Walter Lantz and storyboard artist Ben "Bugs" Hardaway, Woody the screwball woodpecker would make his jump from theatrical films to television in 1957. This cel is hand-inked and hand-painted on 12 field acetate. The cel is from Woody's theatrical work. Woody measures 5", nicely centered in the cel with a great expression! A wonderful Woody piece.
