Description

Frank King Gasoline Alley Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-7-28 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1928). The Gasoline Alley gang plays along with a prank on cheapskate Avery, who suddenly realizes that a simple indebtedness to neighbor Bill could run into the millions. All in good fun, of course. In a dandy incidental gag, little kid Skeezix Wallet stumbles through a game of Blind Man's Bluff. Sheer delight from one of the Great American Comic Strips. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Measurements, 20" x 6". A marginal editorial note, "Ben Day on A's pants," translates to "apply dot-shading [Ben Day, also known as Zipatone]." Moderate age-toning, marginal punctures and an erratic edge-trim, but otherwise the strip is in Very Good condition.
