Description
Oliver & Company Jenny and Oliver Early Concept Sketch Prints by Al Wilson Group of 19 (Walt Disney, 1988). Group of photocopied concept sketches, many revolving around the scene where Jenny finds Oliver and adopts him. Artwork on these are by veteran animation artist Al Wilson, who spent the biggest part of his career working on television shows like Bullwinkle and various Hanna-Barbera titles like Superfriends and Scooby-Doo. His sole credit with the Disney Studio was character designer for The Black Cauldron. There is one piece of original hand-drawn artwork - a small page of thumbnails with a great image of the Foxworth family poodle, Georgette biting a ping pong ball. It's in graphite and ink on paper measuring approximately 7" x 7.5". The rest are all Studio-used photocopies of Jenny, Oliver, Fagin, and more Georgette, on paper measuring 7.5" x 5.5" up to 11" x 8.5". Also included are seven trimmed captions on thin strips of paper, used when showing storyboards; most are in graphite, with one a photocopy.
