Marvel Mystery Comics #4 (Timely, 1940) CGC Apparent PR 0.5 Slight (C-1) Cream to off-white pages. Alex Schomburg bondage cover, the first cover to feature the Sub-Mariner. The first appearance of a Nazi flag on a comic cover, and the second appearance of a German swastika on the cover of a comic book. First appearance of Electro, the Marvel of the Age. Carl Burgos, Paul Gustavson, and Bill Everett art. Currently tied for #44 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of color touch, pieces added to cover, tear seals to cover, reinforced, piece re-attached to cover, staples replaced. All three edges trimmed. Wrong back cover."
