Williams, funniest cynic in the funnypapers, wrings a chuckle out of a nerdy little guy who fancies himself a bloodthirsty pirate. Looks like a masquerade ball is about to get invaded. Williams' profound understanding of human nature is fully evident, here, and his emphatic, kinetic body language bristles with animation. Signed at lower left. Ink over graphite on Bristol board.
