Description
Walter Berndt Smitty Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 2-1-59 (Chicago Tribune, 1959). An office romance almost turns into a triangle as Smitty's girlfriend, Ginny, deals with a boyfriend-stealing newcomer. Ginny gets in the last word with a clever punchline. The image area is 27.5" x 12". The ink-over-graphite panels appear on separate pieces of Bristol board -- all pasted onto a larger backing sheet. There is some aging, and light staining, and the title logo is missing; otherwise, the art is in Very Good condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.Auction Info
