Description

Lou Silverstone Hot Dog Man Illustration Original Art (c. 1950s). Silverstone is beloved among fans of MAD Magazine as a prolific writer of the 1960s-1980s. Less well known is his ability as a spontaneous cartoonist -- generously on display in this delightful drawing of a street vendor and his eager customer. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with watercolors. Image area, 10" x 8". Light toning. Backing sheet (cardboard) has barked corners and scuffed edges. Very Good condition.
