Description

William Donahey The Teenie Weenies Sunday Comic-Strip Hand-Painted Color Production Art dated 10-26-69 (News Syndicate Co., 1969). This late-in-life example of painterly artistry finds Donahey as firmly in charge of his fairy-tale feature as he had been in earlier times -- he had started The Teenie Weenies in 1912. The lovely color display piece was created by adding painted watercolor hues to printed line art on high-quality page-stock. The image area measures 9.5" x 5.5". The condition is Excellent. From the Ray Edw Collection.
