Description

Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "Whoopsie," says Bugs, "I forgot to fill the tank with water." This scene, inspired by the 1948 short High Diving Hare, was drawn by longtime animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Mr. Ross worked in the Friz Freleng Unit, where he was part of the team that produced the first official Bugs Bunny cartoon, A Wild Hare in 1940. After 30 years with Warner Brothers, he moved on to television work with Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, and DePatie-Freleng studios. Original drawings like this were offered at personal appearances by Mr. Ross as he promoted his line of Limited Edition cels at Warner Brothers stores and licensed galleries. This signed drawing is matted with an opening of 9" x 12", and is framed with glass for an overall size of 12" x 15". The frame is sold as-is. Art condition is Fine.
