Mr. Dermis's Holiday White Rabbit Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). This is a layout drawing featuring the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. The layout was for an unfinished Disney Education Media film titled, Mr. Dermis's Holiday. Also seen in this rare layout is Tweedledum and Tweedledee also from Alice in Wonderland. Layout design for animation is the process of conceptualizing environments based on the story of the animated film, and adapting it to the stylistic choices of the film. The primary role of the layout artist is to design the stage on which the animation of the character or special effects takes place. Here we see the White Rabbit checking his watch, rendered in graphite on 16 field animation paper. Included is a certificate of authenticity. Light handling wear.
