D. M. Rolfe Car Wash Illustration Original Art Group (2012). D. M. Rolfe, creator of Mighty Monocle (page 98). "I'm a Brit, so I grew up with the work of Quentin Blake and Ronald Searle. I remember fondly, in my younger years quite literally drooling over their beautiful, scratchy, inky artwork. I can categorically blame them both wholeheartedly for my early fascination with this art form. However, I wouldn't class Richard Thompson in their league. No, Mr. Thompson is in a league all his own. Richard has a razor-sharp wit, impeccable comic timing, and a magic window into the inner workings of the childhood mind. Thank you, Richard.
