Eugene "Zim" Zimmerman and Others Presidential Caricatures and Additional Cartoons Group of 10 (c. 1920s-60s). A wide-ranging array of political, pop-cultural, and humorous cartoons and caricatures, topped by Zimmerman's expert rendering of President Calvin Coolidge. Others include a 1937 ode to springtime (signature: Larimer); 1940s baseball impresario Al Schacht (by Arnold Allen Epstean); Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford (by Fred Wagner); a 1960s bomb-scare cartoon (signed as Parker); a rainy-weather cartoon (signed as Stanton, Orlando Sentinel); a Fred Korburg 1950s cartoon of a guitarist (who may represent actor-singer Burl Ives); an Antonio Sotomayor caricature of Maestro Giulio Minetti; and a 1929 semi-profile caricature of a nameless funnyman (signed as Heilman). Ink over graphite, among other media, on varied page-stock. Dimensions, 9" x 10" to 14" x 18". Varied conditions, from Fair to Very Good. From the Allan Holtz Collection.
