Description

Steve Stiles Death Rattle #7 Story Page 10 Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1986). Death Rattle combines the influences of the Underground Comix movement and a pre-Comics Code horror standard, Tales from the Crypt, and its parent, EC Comics. This finely crafted sequence marks the near-climax of a haunted-house story of rare ferocity. Stiles' art is crisp and evocative. A bonus is a lettering job by Dan Burr -- himself a great comics artist, best known for 1988's Kings in Disguise. Ink, crayon, and Zipatone shading over graphite on Coquille board. Image area, 10" x 15". Faint toning and smudging. Very Good condition.
