Famous Funnies: A Carnival of Comics #nn (Eastern Color, 1933) CGC GD+ 2.5 Off-white to white pages. Notable for being the second comic book ever published. M. C. Gaines, the "father of the comic book," marketed it to various retailers to use as an in-store promotional giveaway for their customers, and it was also used as a mail-away premium. The content consists of reprints of popular strips of the day, such as Mutt and Jeff, Reg'lar Fellers, Joe Palooka, and others. It features a wraparound cover. Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $676.
