Description

Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez - Batman DC Style Guide Illustration Original Art (DC, 1986). With a crisp, clean line style, and a deft interpretation of the DC characters, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez were fairly quickly ensconced by DC into the position of producing almost all of their advertising and promotional art. To further the "house style" of DC, he also produced many character illustrations that were used as a Style Guide for other artists. This was the definitive Batman look for the Bronze and early Modern Age. Crafted in ink over graphite on 11.5" x 16.5" Bristol board. Bats stands 11.25" tall from heel to ear-tips. Signed by Garcia-Lopez in the lower right. In Excellent condition.
