Description
The Great Mouse Detective Ratigan Layout Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1986). "Guards! Seize this despicable creature!" The notorious Ratigan laughs diabolically as his scheme to replace the queen comes to fruition. Ratigan is a fan-favorite Disney villain from The Great Mouse Detective, famously voiced by the wonderful Vincent Price. This is an incredible set of large rough animation drawings created for the moment seen and the 55:50 mark of the film. Rendered in graphite on 12 field animation paper, these drawings contain hand-written timing charts and production numbers written in the lower right corners (R-1, R-39 and R-47). Original animation drawings of Ratigan are extremely rare finds, and this is a lucky sequence of three! The sheets show minor handling and edge wear with some light toning due to age.
