Mr. Bug Goes to Town Mr. Bumble and C. Bagwell Beetle Signed Animation Drawing (Max Fleischer, 1941). "That's just the point, Bumble!" Safety and security are important, but Mr. Bumble better not give in to mean old Bagwell's request - an arranged marriage to Bumble's pretty young daughter, Honey Bee! Here's an original rough animation drawing from this scene, which occurs at about the 8:09 mark in the film. Art is in red pencil on a sheet of 16 field 3-peghole animation paper noted as 52B in the lower right. A nude female torso has been lightly sketched in along the upper right, as a momentary diversion from the hard work of animating. Overall image size is an approximate 10.5" x 9.25". Longtime Fleischer/Famous Studios animator Nick Tafuri (1913 - 1990) signed the art in the lower right corner, with the year listed as 1942. The art is loosely mounted onto a sheet of black backing board measuring 18" x 13". Handling wear and mild paper toning. Very Good condition.
