Mr. Bug Goes to Town Mr. Bumble and Hoppity Production Cel with Painted Background (Max Fleischer, 1941). Hoppity helps a drenched Mr. Bumble back on his feet after getting caught in a watering can, in this rare original hand-inked, hand-painted trimmed production cel. You can find this scene at about the 37:09 mark in Mr. Bug Goes to Town, the final animated feature film from the Fleischer Studios. The cel includes both characters and the puddle of water, with an overall image size of 9.25" x 4.5". The cel is placed on a scene-matching custom background, painted by Kathy Erickson in 2017. Background painting is in watercolor with an image size of 11" x 8.5" on illustration board measuring 12.5" x 10". Cel has very minor handling wear.
