Description

Slick Hare Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1947). "Oh, I just remembered a previous engagement." Bugs bids a hasty exit upon discovering that he is to be Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall's main course. This Friz Freleng cartoon takes place at Club Macrumbo, a parody of Club Mocambo in 1940's Los Angeles and features an array of Hollywood celebrities such as Carmen Miranda, Ray Milland, Frank Sinatra, and even Bugs Bunny as Groucho Marx. It was co-written by both Tedd Pierce and Mike Maltese. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Elmer as a waiter and Bugs in evening clothes complete with top hat and cane. This remarkable 12 field 2-cel setup features both characters in full-figure measuring 4" and 6" tall. Elmer is numbered 8E and Bugs 42 in the lower right corner and they both appear around the 2:57 mark. The cels are over a matching print background for presentation purposes. This an extraordinary vintage setup from Warner's golden age and one of the nicest we have ever seen. Minor handling and condition is Fine.
