Description
The Simpsons (The Tracey Ullman Show) Bart, Lisa and Maggie Production Cel Setups Group of 2 (Fox, 1988). "Cowabunga!" Bart and his two sisters are ready for some skateboarding fun, in this rare pair of original production cel setups from the 24th segment of The Simpsons. It aired on 2/7/88 as part of The Tracey Ullman Show, over a year before Springfield's favorite family received their own series. By this time, the characters are starting to more closely resemble the Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson we are familliar with today. In this lot are two hand-painted 12 field production cel setups from this three part vignette. The first features Bart and Lisa who measure 3" x 4" in full-figure which appear in the opening sections of part 3. The second 2-cel setup includes 2.5" x 4" full-figure images of Lisa and Maggie that appear at different points seconds later in part 3. Both setups are over print backgrounds. A fantastic matching pair of early production art from the dawn of The Simpsons. The success of these quirky minute-long shorts propelled the characters to their own television series which still stands as the longest running in history.
