Description
Dick Giordano (attributed) - Superman House Ad Illustration Original Art (DC, c. 1977-1980). This image is very similar to the cover of Superman #233 from 1971. But the DC "Bullet" in the top corner only dates back to 1977 at the earliest! There is a note in blue pencil in the lower right of the page addressed to "Joe/Ross" (possibly Joe Orlando and Ross Andru?) that is signed "D." The art was created in ink over blue pencil on 17.5" x 22.5" paper, and then affixed to a same-size Bristol board. The DC Bullet and Superman logo are a stat paste-up trimmed to fit around the art. There is a wrinkle in the lower edge of the stat. The toned page is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
