Description

Disneyland - Fort Wilderness Soldier Costume Hat (Walt Disney, c. 1960s-80s). A favorite of many Disneyland guests who traveled across the Rivers of America to Tom Sawyer Island, Fort Wilderness served as one of the main attractions on Tom Sawyer Island during its time at Disneyland. The Fort had a variety of amusements for kids and parents, including rifle roosts that kids could pretend to shoot out of and a variety of Cast Members "patrolling" the fort. This rare lot features an original, park-used cowboy hat worn by one of the Cast Members acting as a soldier in Fort Wilderness. The brown felt cowboy hat is marked inside its band with 7 3/8 SEC. The hat is in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and wear, expected from a park-used costume piece.
From the Rummell Collection.
