Description
Yogi Bear Daily Newspaper Comic Panel Original Art by Harvey Eisenberg (Hanna-Barbera/McNaught Syndicate, 1962). Yogi Bear got his own show in January of 1961, after being a co-star on the Huckleberry Hound Show. To promote this show, a daily and Sunday Yogi Bear newspaper strip were rolled out. Harvey Eisenberg (1911 - 1965) was the first artist assigned to the strip. Harvey was the father of legendary character designer and layout man Jerry Eisenberg. This is the original ink on board artwork from an early Yogi Bear single-panel daily strip from June 4, 1962, with an excellent "Picnic Basket" gag. The art is framed with Plexiglas and matted with a mat opening of 11" x 12"; overall frame size is 18.25" x 18.75". Fine condition.Auction Info
