Description

Walt Disney "Duckster" Award (1952). This bronze Donald Duck rarity is an in-house Disney award with only a small handful of recipients (only ten or so from 1952-59, and none known after that time), and only a couple have ever made their way to the marketplace. This particular Duckster is one of the earliest known, given to Ezra Goodman, a former Time Magazine reporter and film critic. This piece has been restored: a crack in the Bakelite base along the side has been sealed and some of the base where the feet are attached has been glued back into place afterward. The bronze figure itself remains in Excellent condition, and the award will still display nicely.
